The tractor units are all purchased from new with few being over three years old. The fleet has also been updated to take full advantage of the increased running capacity from 41 tonnes to 44 tonnes, thus improving the efficiency of the business.
To attach to the units we have a 100 Potato Bulkers, 8 Tipping trailers and 5 Curtainsiders.
Great pride is taken in the fleet with lorries being regularly serviced and kept clean.

We
have numerous makes of bulker in the fleet, 80% of which are fully
insulated. Most of these are constructed by Fibretek of Downham Market,
Norfolk. All have variable speed which limits damage to potatoes and
all are capable of holding 29 - 30 tonnes of goods. New trailers bought
in are air with disc brakes, mostly SDC and Crane Fruehauf. |

Curtainsiders

Most
of these are manufactured by local company, David Lawrence. All are
45ft in length and 4 metres high to comply with European height regulations
and have insulated curtains. These are all capable and plated 44 tonnes
with a returning payload of 29 - 30 tonnes nett. |

Bulk
Tippers
|
|
|
Mixture
of tippers but latest purchased are these plank sided, flush alloy
bodies made by United Bodies of Wisbech, all capable of holding 30
tonnes of goods. The beauty of these are you can load them with almost
anything and all are fitted with easy sheets and Hendrikson disc brakes. |
